  2. The media doesn't like to report on shootings like the Chicago Southside because it is not a good look. My local newspaper stopped publishing photos of criminals arrested because "it served no useful purpose" meaning the photos tended to be people of a certain race. This is the do not air your dirty laundry in public thinking.
