If your taxes go up to compensate for tax revenue loss because businesses in your town close down due to cheap foreign competition, are you saving as much as you think? Same with illegals. You save $.10 per pound on your tomatoes but your school taxes go up $150.00 to help pay for educating illegal's kids, are you saving money?

  3. A big part of the problem is the high value dollar so many economists seem to prize. The high value British pound worked against the U.K., so how can a high value dollar be good for Americans other than buying cheap Chinese junk more cheaply?

  5. Taxing the rich will not fix the base problem. Trump did raise taxes on the rich by capping the SALT tax deduction.
