@Meowdy Pardner Theft is a first step to a life of crime. If he got away with it, there would be more than an even chance he'd try his luck again. He may have even harmed others in the process. The " No problem, the owner has insurance" argument is not the best way to help kids going wayward to stop from going wayward.
