  2. Andrew Yang, a bad idea then a bad idea now. Rank choice reduces choice but does open the public to a vast mediocrity of candidates.

  3.  @anneb889  I think candidates will really start sounding the same. Under the current system, bold differences can be broadcast. Under rank choice, you have to go after this vague majority. Plus you could have a Candidate X that was everyone's third choice, certainly not empowering. I mean, look at Andrew Yang. He didn't rack up big support numbers. He'd get the fourth slot in a race with 2 candidates. Ranked Choice wouldn't have helped him.
