Chapek really didn't want to touch this issue but hysterics by Disney's California employees forced his hand. There seems to be little understanding of the law and it appears Chapek didn't bother to check with the company's lawyers before calling DeSantis to get a clearer understanding of the law. Bob Iger is a fire breathing white woke type and it appears behind the scenes he tried to strong arm DeSantis. Disney has not always followed through with it's Reedy Creek agreement with the state which would give DeSantis and opportunity to cancel the agreement. Putting prisons next to Disney appears to be a tongue in cheek jab at Disney by DeSantis as he knows the value of Disney. Disney knows the value of their Florida kingdom and knows it would be almost impossible to recreate it any where else in the United States.

Disney is in no position to shut anything down. Thanks to Disney's king of woke (Bob Iger) Disney's movies have done poorly at the box office, he also left the company deep in debt. Disney's cable operations have been losing a fortune. By any standard Bob Iger should be terminated.

@thebklynprophet Why don't we call that your shoot yourself in the foot plan? Florida will still be collecting taxes from Disney. It's the theme parks that keep the lights on at Disney now. Now Universal Studios would just love your plan. Their Florida park is making big money for them. Spill over from Disney World would be greatly welcomed by Universal. And Florida will still be making money.
