Some segments of Rising always leaves you feeling dumber. This was one of those segments.

@ClownCarCoup While the guest may have had one of two good ideas, overall this segment was a collection of uninformed campaign slogans. No details. no explanations (like those mysterious gifts to oil companies).

@ClownCarCoup I looked into it years ago. Many of these were tax credits, some to keep low output wells in operation at the request of the government. Many of these tax credits are available in one form or another to a variety of industries. Some even mom and pop operations can use. This is Progressive language bending at it's worse. Keep in mind, tax credits can not be used unless a business spends the money first, which they can later apply to tax credits. On a personal level, you buy solar panels for your home and the government gives you a credit or rebate because you spent the money. Same thing as credits issued for business.
