It still surprises me the Democrats held up the second $1,200 check. I guess those donations from the legal industry to the Democrats really paid off handsomely.

@adonis2003 They passed it knowing the Republicans wanted liability protection. The Democrats purposefully threw overboard the people who really needed this money in favor of their lawyer donors. The legal industry won this one, no liability protection. The Republicans did say they would pass bills separately and there was support for a second $1,200 check. The Democrats refused this as well, knowing one big huge bill allows plenty of nooks and crannies to hide lots of cash for their buddies.

@isittechno5116 Well then, the Democrats could have produced a bill just for the $1,200 check separately then. I thought struggling Americans were important to Democrats? Or did they mean struggling lawyers?

chris younts I am not blaming the victim, I am blaming the Democrats. They wanted to take care of their lawyer buddies. I guess the slip and fall business is slow this year.

@isittechno5116 Congress controls the purse I know and Andrew Yang might make a nice Secretary of Commerce. Maybe Secretary of Labor. Or Ambassador to Kazakhstan.
