  1. Thom Hartman was one of the longue lizards from RT. China has done well because the Chinese work cheaper compared to Americans. China's technical advances allowed them to expand their offerings and they can sell at a lower price. China sits on it's currency's value which increases their competitive edge. You can increase tariffs but that will make American goods even more expensive to the Chinese, Only key items like food stuffs will be sold to China, turning the U.S. into a tributary nation, a form of colonialism. Oddly enough, China along with Russia are working to get the dollar off it's reserve status. This could cause a loss of value of the American dollar. This will create chaos domestically for the United States but over the long term may make American export goods more affordable and may rebuild U.S. industry.

  4. One of the more successful things in the Soviet Union was it's underground capitalist economy. The Soviet Union knew it was going on but looked the other way because the official Socialist economy was performing so poorly.

I love that Left Wing hoe down: "was never a socialist country but a state run capitalist country run by the center planning oligarchy" In other words, it WAS a socialist country. There was no private property in the Soviet Union. Nice try, the Soviet Union had to let the black market to work because the Socialist economy couldn't.

  6.  @juanitodoe3792  Adding Democratic to the name enhances the socialist aspect of the country, that they are truly for the benefit of the people. They even have a congress, a diet or a parliament answering to the voice of the people. You know, socialist people power in action for the laboring masses, each according to their needs.
