Singapore is not a Communist country and the Chinese there left China years ago.

@thevan4476 You know there were Japanese-American males that went to Japan, joined the Imperial Army and then went on to attack the Chinese then they came back to America when their service was finished. The Chinese that left China went to surrounding countries where they would cozy up to the worst of elites as to advance their position in society. Many times this created a huge resentment between the Chinese immigrants and the native populations. Let us put it this way, the United States offered and exercised protections to the Japanese immigrant or American citizen the Japanese never offered to the people they conquered. History, it's messy. And has angles few know about. So when you SJW, it is never a bad idea to learn a little history first.

@rabbitsforyang8273 Neither have the Democrats lost in many American cities for 60 years :) My comments on Singapore are limited to what I posted. My post was neither praise nor damnation. The British wanted Singapore to be the jewel of Asia and it appears that has been accomplished.

@rabbitsforyang8273 I have never heard Singapore described as a beacon of freedom. Usually the city was run by some pretty strong men. The U.S. had had good relations with Singapore but the city's reputation is based on it's strong economic performance. Relations in Asia tend to run on multiple tracks at the same time, one country may attack another over policies while at the same time have good commercial and cultural relations and at the same time expand them. China has become aggressive and that is where the concern lies. Sad too because for a few decades China was making all the right moves. Then Xi Jinping came into office and the country became more of a bully. Singapore while not a dripping with liberalism isn't a bully and works to maintain ethnic parity (as does Malaysia) with it's population.

@rabbitsforyang8273 China itself is quite good at culling. As a side note, it is cheaper to buy oil from Iraq than to have a war over it, much cheaper if you buy in volume. The war for oil is just a left wing reflex response.
