@gastarbeiter1 The Left is utterly paranoid and they have good reason to be, more so if you take into account their long history of violence which reached a peak with Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and others. Do they fear turnabout is fair play?

@gastarbeiter1 Hitler was an admitted Socialist, pursued Socialist programs, forced state control of the economy, ran under a party that called itself Socialist and like Stalin, enjoyed locking people up. If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.

@gastarbeiter1 Hitler was a totalitarian. Part of that is complete control of the economy. Though Hitler did not nationalize industry, he heavily regulated it. This way he didn't have to concern himself about the best way to increase production of ball bearings, he could just order more ball bearings and failure to produce more was not an acceptable result. In 1927 he declared himself a Socialist. Fascism is life revolves around the state. Private ownership was immaterial because all were subject to the state. Yea, you got to call your hot dog stand yours but in the last instance you were always subject to the will of the party any time the party called. Communist China is built on the same model, some industry is "private" but always, always subject to the will of Xi Jinping. Ask Jack Ma. The argument that Hitler was a right winger is based on slim logic, that industry was "private" and he hated Communism. Communism was just another Socialist variant but all had the same mother- Karl Marx. And no one would know Socialism like Karl Marx, history's greatest free loader.
