Maleficent was an interesting twist, but something that should only be done once. Then on to something new and fresh.

Since global warming triggered this story off, maybe we should let warming continue as a way of cleaning out the woke types in the future. And then things will be fine.
5
I have to admit if it has a man in a rubber suit... I get charitable.
3
I liked it too.
2
I had just seen Shut In and it had some really good moments and proved to be a worthwhile watch. Terror On The Prairie looks very promising. Hopefully The Daily Wire is just warming up.
2
It had it's moments.
2
The British also sent along some colorful characters to help settle the west. Not all of them were grouchy.
2
"what were the colonizing pigs doing at the time?" Laying the ground work where in a few hundred years you could watch a movie about an Indigenous girl killing an alien :)
2
Southern California/Hollywood is working hard to be the cultural armpit of America.
2
Why didn't Drinker warn us he was going to offer unvarnished, dripping sarcasm? I just wasn't expecting this.
2
Sounds like you might risk seeing some testosterone in action.
2
I enjoyed the whole film including Ruby. It was a good time.
1
Let me add, it's nice to see Drinker taking a peek into other forms of film making.
1
Warner Bros should charge Drinker a ticket admission for having such a laugh at their expense. The new parent company of Warner Bros is run by a man who like profits made smartly. Should prove to be interesting.
1
The movie was one long cliche.
1
Walt Disney's revenge against Bob Iger.
1
You can not charge the show with (((Cultural Appropriation))) because they spell Robyn with a "y".
1
I had seen this movie when it was released and what a slice of cheese this was. If Frank Capra was going to do Sci-Fi, this picture would have been it.
1
Okay, was this really the Critical Drinker talking?
1
The irony is, It's A Wonderful life wasn't intended to be a Christmas movie. It was released in July of 1947. How is that for bad marketing?
1
@viddork Yes, you went there. The public repurposed the movie for it's own needs.
1
It does seem to get harder to not use the word Ahole and Disney in the same sentence.
1
Why would you think molesting farm animals would upset Hollywood?
1
Get out the oil can, I think Drinker is going to rust.
1
Sorry, attcking men in rubber suits is just taking criticsm too far.
1
Newt from Aliens was a good choice.
1
LOL
1
Many critics called it the best right wing film of the year :)
1
A couple of hundred years from now Generation Z+++ will be calling this show brilliant
1
Drinker, is that really you?
1
Going by the releases of the last few years, this was a rave review.
1
At this point the reviews for this show should just be a 8 minute video of a vulture picking over a dead carcass.
1
How's life in the suburbs?
1
@heidimelcarek3677 I bet you enjoyed the movie Avatar.

The Woke Generation waves around diversity like a 60's pin-up bikini model waved around her huge boobs. Interesting but it's not art. So what if they are black, if they are still a dork?
1
@alextreky The Woke generation remind me of a composer who lived in the Soviet Union. He rubbed Josef Stalin the wrong way (never a good idea). Stalin was very critical of a recent composition and the composer commented in private, they beat you over the head over and over again while ordering you to be joyous You walk away numb and muttering "I will be joyous". These wokie types are the same way. Star Trek in it's original form was discussing great ideas in between moments of kick azz. Diversity was woven into the show with a seamlessness that didn't disrupt the flow of the show. The wokies like to beat you over the head with their wonderfulness and you are supposed to be joyous about it. I would say Star Trek may have run it's course. Years ago I felt like I was watching an endless repeat.

@ComradeOgilvy1984 Long term fans feel the show has drifted from it's original goals. If you started with Discovery you may not see it.

@alextreky Actually, the Social Justice B.S. just causes new problems 50 years down the road. Spock was more interesting than Barret was. Since Barret was Rodenberry's wife she still got a little action and because of their relationship she would have had to deal with jealousy issues. Not a good idea to have your wife as a major performer in a production. I look forward to the next version of Sar Trek with the same enthusiasm as the next Microsoft major update, being left to wonder how they will screw things up this time. I am not a watcher of serial tv shows anymore. I tend to favor history shows and I see how history is being distorted with social justice thinking. I have good fun with the people who like to repeat this distorted history. And nothing is more fun than making SJW's live up to their standards. I don't have to wait 50 years to enjoy it.
1
@alextreky It is nice to chat with one of the few people who watch the show. 50 years from now you can brag you were part of the select who had seen the show. At least CNN can brag their ratings are greater than STD, one of the few programs woke CNN can do that with :)
1
@ComradeOgilvy1984 Of course you would have to ignore the constant cries of racism by the left at the time. One does become a bit sensitive and starts looking for race everywhere. Drinker is doing what he has been conditioned to do. The original series had a we come in peace but we'll kick azz if we have to quality. There were a lot of browns on the Earth, but it was whites that pushed the world forward. Was it worth it? I dunno, maybe we were all better off as simple farmers. Once tribes formed 1,000's of years ago, chaos, war, mass murder and genocide followed.
1
@ComradeOgilvy1984 If you are going to sell something on a race basis, it can be judged on a race basis. Personally, I found Drinker's review amusing to no end. As Drinker pointed out, CBS wanted to use the show as a political platform. The gloves are off. Basically a lot of Woke is not so much any great concern for others than a small group of power elite wannabes want to parade around their wonderfulness. Sorry folks, borrrrring. I watched the first 15 minutes of STD but turned it off. It started out dull and I just didn't feel like going through the process of learning a whole new show. Star Trek has become less a past time than starting a whole job. I have always liked Michelle Yeoh but in the end I just lost interest despite her. I have seen extended cuts of the program and my initial assessment seemed right. When you are down to having your characters being eaten by a space worm, you are dangerously close to Mel Brooks territory. But once again, if you sell diversity, then you open up the racial issue. And just because an actor/ actress is black, that doesn't make them a great performer. Rotten Tomato's audience rating gives STD a 43% approval rating. Wow. The original sits at 88% and the animated series is at 94% (critic). When a cartoon beats you in the ratings, that is bad.
1
@ComradeOgilvy1984 By the standards of today, if you do not see race, you are a racist. And if you do not promote because of race, you are a racist. The social version of the Kobayashi Maru. Just watch out for the space worms.
1
@ComradeOgilvy1984 When you are with SJW's talk like the SJW's do. Drinker is conditioned because he listened to too many of these people. Your use of the term mangina indicates you have issues with 57 non-conforming varieties of gender. You need an update fast. Five SJW's points have been deducted from your social credit account.

I got a parking ticket in Jersey City once.
1
When you have no talent, you do social justice.
1
You are dealing with a company located in California. Remember that.
1
In other words, yes, they can be that stupid.
1
Disney seems to have no problem forcing their views down our throats. We are not obligated to support Disney nor should Disney receive any support.
1
"Mr Jones" looks into the Holodomor. It can be found on the net on one of the other video sites. Worth a watch.
1
I still take 2 showers a day after I had seen Avatar. Rich white guy who made a fortune with modernity feels empathy for the simple natives.
