  1. More than likely Woodrow Wilson suffered a mild stroke which could have caused the personality shift. It wasn't long after the war he had a crippling stroke.

  2. No. This was a regional war. It wasn't multinational, just bilateral. World War 2 didn't become World War 2 until Germany attacked Poland. Combine that with the war in Asia and German - Japanese agreements to work together, you then had World War 2, more so once the U.S. and the Soviet Union got into the fight.

  3.  @jackelinealmeida1941  Japan wasn't at war with the Soviet Union. They had some border run ins but no sustained military action. Japan already had Korea, and most of their activity was in China, making it a regional war. It was after Pearl Harbor Japan expanded into other countries.
