@shrinkhh79 The issue at hand is Central America which for 200 years has been corrupt and unstable. You do not have problems with countries that are not corrupt or unstable. When was the last time we had to attack Switzerland? The last time a coalition had to be formed to save the world from Thailand? Your canned response does reflect you age and experience. If there is deception going on, it is in organizations like DW which no doubt is run by a bunch of nice middle class kids that like to cherry pick issues.

@shrinkhh79 Sorry, not interested in proportions. Year after year we take in more people through the legal immigration system than all other countries. Maybe the world should demand their home countries do better so people do not have to flee. Fix the problem at the source.

People like you never ask why these countries treat their citizens so badly they have to flee. Central and South America have been independent about as long as the United States has been yet they have a 200 year history of social chaos and instability that continually retards their development.
