  2. It appears Boeing didn't let anyone know about MCAS. It would have been cheaper and safer to let people know how to work the system if a problem occurred.

  3. That would require an expensive redesign. It seems it would have been easier and cheaper if Boeing just let people know about the new operating system so pilots could adapt.
