That can be ended quickly. Shut down all industry and return to every person for themselves like in ancient times. I mean, back then they got along without tv, internet, automobiles, modern hospitals, food stores, railroads, airplanes, movie theatres. CO2 generation was minimal. Only problem would be you'd still have droughts, plagues, famines, intense poverty, disease, pollution, wars and more wars.

@misterfunnybones There are several levels of taxation in the United States and they vary according to what is done with money. Taxes can not be lower unless you invest in certain ways and spend it in certain ways, all determined by Congress. In order to pay no taxes, you must invest your money in ways seen productive to the economy. These people are not getting a free ride. Be careful of who you listen to and you should always consider American Left Wing/Progressive media suspect. As for the estate tax, you pay taxes your whole life and when you die the ghouls come back for more.

@jonathan198627 The U.S. Treasury shows money received from taxes paid by the rich. Even if they are not paying in full, they are still paying a *lot*.
