  1. California in it's natural state IS a dried mud field but through an advanced water distribution system became very green. In the early 1960's a plan was drawn up to improve water storage to service a projected twice larger population. This plan was blocked by the Democrats and environmentalists. Before the water system was put into place, California looked like the dry mud caked India that you fondly remember.
