  2. I do not like the rewriting of stories. Tell it as it was written. I do not like race swapping. On the other hand I can see no reason for Disney not to create a new character, black if there is a need and tell a whole new story. It isn't like Disney doesn't have the money. It is not like Hollywood doesn't have writers. It is not like America is short of story tellers. There are no black storytellers in America? Leave the Little Mermaid alone, find a story a black a character can play and have that character tell a new story. Why go easy on Disney? They have been strip mining their back catalog, haven't done a great job of it and remaking movies that are no where as good as the originals. Demand better from Disney, not make it easier for them to be lazy.

  3. It is in a sense rewriting history. Black people feel it matters, so do whites. Worse yet, you defend Disney for their laziness and their lack of originality.
