  1. The United States has limited trade with Cuba. The U.S. also allows Cubans who have relatives in Cuba to send those relatives money.

  3. Large numbers of Cubans have risked their lives to get into the United States and many have done quite well. Cubans as well as other escapees from Latin America have turned Miami, Florida into a hub of commerce between the United States and Latin America. The irony being that Cuba has to accept help from a capitalist country as many of the Cubans that escaped are now sending money back to help their stay behind relatives in the worker's paradise.
