China needs to keep their weather balloons from U.S. military installations. I doubt China would be so forgiving if the situation were reversed, that the U.S. would have weather balloons floating over Chinese military sites.

@KrazeDiamond Maybe China left U.S. balloons untouched because they wanted the United States to see what was going on. Adds to the power of any threat China might make in the future.

@Wbliss I have lost count of the number of Chinese spies the U.S. has had to arrest. The U.S. really never had a spy service before 1945. The U.S. learned it better get a spy service. A balloon can contain an EMP bomb. And balloons going over military sites is good reason to shoot them down.

Imagine if the U.S. sent weather balloons that happened to be floating near Chinese military installations. What do you think would happen?

@davidrave563 Formosa/Taiwan has been a long standing ally to the United States. Just read the history. In fact, they were one of the U.S.'s early contacts in Asia.
