  16. When Rush Limbaugh moved his operation to Florida from New York City he also moved his residency. For years after he battled with the State of New York over his personal taxes to the state having to prove he was or was not in the state for a variety of dates. If I recall correctly it took 3 years to get the mess cleaned up. Afterwards if he had to return to New York for any business reason, he did it for free so New York couldn't go after him for any taxes they thought were due.

  31. Democrats voted for bigger and bigger government every year with laws that allowed the federal government to grab more and more tax every year. Keep in mind California until recently could write off huge taxes on their federal taxes so states like California did get a huge chunk of tax money back. By the way, Silicon Valley is what it is in part due to innovations that came from the Northeast, which still does huge amounts of basic research, the key to advancement. But your comments illustrate the self absorbed quality of think shown by Silicon Valley every day in how they work with the Chinese Communists, increasing censorship and meddling in America's political affairs.

  36.  @brianbatie6650  Even with loopholes the rich pay the vast majority of income taxes. This is just a mere statement of fact. You would even be paying more or having less without them. At some point they will decide whether living in New York City is worth it or not. If they leave you get to pick up the slack.
