When Rush Limbaugh moved his operation to Florida from New York City he also moved his residency. For years after he battled with the State of New York over his personal taxes to the state having to prove he was or was not in the state for a variety of dates. If I recall correctly it took 3 years to get the mess cleaned up. Afterwards if he had to return to New York for any business reason, he did it for free so New York couldn't go after him for any taxes they thought were due.
