@laurencefraser If I recall correctly, the Robin Hood CEO said there were no other stocks with a block on buying, just Game. So they may not have had liquidity problems which would blow up Louis's argument. Maybe Robinhood's CEO feared getting stuck with a bunch of useless stock?

@mcbean1 I could see Robinhood wanting to sidestep dealing with highly speculative stock. If they were permitting trades in all other stocks except a few I do not see a cash flow problem and any money they got from a parent company may have been for other purposes. We also do not know what is in the fine print when you sign up for their services. I would be interesting to see this investigated to find if there was dirty dealing or just a series of actions done in a clumsy way.

@mcbean1 You make good points. I was thinking in terms that if all this goes south for the investors playing with the short will they take it on the chin? Maybe RH's chairman was thinking of lawsuits lurking in the high grass. Depending on how terms of service were written, no doubt there are some lawyers flying around overhead like vultures ready to pounce with some new legal theory on how Robinhood was responsible for their clients loss.
