  5.  @sam_barris  It's a deeply flawed study. Even the reseatchers themselves admit that. Also notice the timing and political positioning here.

  6.  @sam_barris  The peer review process is fundamentally flawed. There's a plethora of really interesting literature out there that delves into the deep rooted systemic problems associated with it. Not to mention that we now live in a time where science has been corrupted by politics. It was never supposed to be this way. However, many areas in the space have become puritanical and supporting certain theories or voicing doubt in certain instances have become akin to heresy. Professional reputations, jobs and livelyhoods are on the line. That stifles robust and spirited debate and the exploration of hypothesis' that go against the powers that be. The purse strings for funding studies are controlled such that only certain studies get funding. Also the Big Pharma moneyed interests are very powerful. People in other countries are generally more wordly than most Americans as well and actually do follow our politics.
