  1. It's the opposite. Democrats would be for the horse and buggy and banning the automobile. The horse and buggy is more "environmentally friendly" less efficient than automobiles much like EV's today.

  3.  UlasG_Subs  Progressives stand in the way of societal progress. Their ideals stand in the way of innovation and flourishing societies. For example, they support excessive red tape and bureaucracy that makes it more difficult to innovate for the betterment of people. They believe in lowering the academic bar for students who can't hack it in the name of "equity". That involves lowering admissions standards, doing away with standardized tests, traditional grading systems and taking the focus away from math, science, reading, writing, etc. Instead, they waste time learning "social justice". They should be trying raise students up as opposed to bringing the bar down. As it relates to criminal justice, their policies foster extreme blight, degradation and victimization in our cities instead of cities where people are relatively safer from the criminal elements. They regress us all. (I.e. revolving door justice, police consent decrees, no cash bail, legalizing crimes, etc.)

It may not involve being proverbial carp under the dock, mouths agape writhing around for whatever popcorn your "green" demigods toss at you. I'm a selective capitalist. I support it when it suits my political objectives. I don't support it when it doesn't.

  7.  @Henrik_Holst  Nope. Conservatism is "The holding of political views that favor free enterprise, private ownership and socially traditional ideas". Bright and creative people engaging in free enterprise is what has led to all of the amazing innovations and inventions that has moved us forward as a society.

  8.  @Henrik_Holst  "Free enterprise" is the focus. That's what leads to new inventions, innovations and societal progress. "Socially traditional ideas" such as crime is bad and we should fight it, also leads to thriving societies.

  11.  @Henrik_Holst  Conservative "for" humans/society, not "against". For example, it's traditional to punish crime and keep repeat offenders off the streets so the people can be safe going about their daily lives. Progressives throw that out the window and make our cites very unsafe.
