  3. There should be and usually are warnings; there is at least red flags, double red flags posted on the beach. Some people may not know what they mean but upon seeing them they should inquire before sending their kids in. All of the rentals and areas surrounding beaches and boat, jets ski rentals should warn of this danger. There ARE ways to detect riptides-to observe them for yourself if you are trained how to look for them. Look on You Tube, many graphics and films of them demonstrating how they appear.
