@kashu7691 : Yes, I studied Penrose and I still go with Feynman: "It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn't matter how smart you are. If it doesn't agree with experiment, it's wrong." Richard P. Feynman

I thought there were no awards for math.

@HylanderSB : It is for supporting a mathematical theory with math. Physics has nothing to do with black hole theory.
1
@HylanderSB : Save your regrets, not wasting my time with a question like that. lol. Ask Dr. Eric Lerner.
1
@HylanderSB : Is that how you gained your ignorance, avoiding "crank" theories? Good luck with that. Sage say: Two kinds of people will not change their ways: the very wise and the very stupid.

See, the stupid ask themselves, "Am I not very clever? I am wise!" And they never check themselves. While the wise ask themselves "Am I being wise?". And they check themselves. You guys act like you know it all, and have parsed all the contrary opinions, countervailing data, new hypotheses. You treat science like it were a club. You're childish. Petty.

@kashu7691 : Nothing of the kind. That is a theory of what they are seeing. Only. Where is any experiment involved? None. I respect their right to hypothesize how those different observations fit their model of things, but little else dies when the try to generalize it. Sorry, until you can get near any of those visual phenomena, where experience, effects, can be measured, it is only a theory. Blips in vacuum pipes and ultra sensitive gear have not detected gravity waves, and a star moving in circles around evidently nothing or a computer compiled image are not invariably interpretable by one and only one theory. Science isn't decided by popular vote. Confirm the contravening theories are impossible one by one, before screaming "victory". Science hasn't even put on its helmet let alone conquered the mysteries of deep space. They cant even see the sun cannot be a gas ball. Hard to believe that preposterous notion has had traction this long.

Today you know theoreticians are treating science like it's art, they dont much about it, but they know what they like.

@kashu7691 : Yes, making experiment essential for paring waste and pure crap because it's "pretty". Tossing out bad ideas requires renunciation, a virtue in science too. Non-attachment. There are dozens of maxims referring to the foolhardiness of "disregarding" experiment. https://youtu.be/0KmimDq4cSU Watch the the segment, Dirac would hear his own words. Context.

Lerner and Crothers might disagree.

The sink side of a galactic plasma vortex would not emit light, and would be attractive at right angles.
