Did you get the text re light bulbs on/off vs always on?

@ProjectFarm : Sure, the question is, do light bulbs last longer if left on vs being turned on and off constantly. I have had to replace a xenon bulb for over my RV camper stove three times in less than a month each. They advertise "LONGER LIFE 3,000 HOURS". When using the RV I'd have the stove light on about 8-10 hrs. Even at maximum 10 hr use, that's only 310 hrs. Poof. Leaving it on to test hasn't been an option so far. I noticed a story about an original Edison bulb in a NY fire engine station that has burned continuously since 1910 or something like that. That bulb filament was different from the mass produced version eventually sold. But I guess the question comes down to, does repeated heating and cooling stress the alloy enough to cause it earlier failure than leaving it on. Thanks!
