  1. Private prison systems are a source of one of the biggest gougings of government expenses. Low grade foods, white bread, baloney, resold stale and rancid powdered foods, etc. The average daily expense for food by a middle class family interested in good diet with savory food applied to the garbage put into the prison diet would represent a cost that would put the $3,000 dollar hammer for the military or space agency to shame. Prison food budget is pennies to the dollar, and it's a bonanza for those crooks.
