  1. Nasal rinsing is harmless and a common practice. Unintentional nasal douches are a commonplace amongst that strange breed of humans known as swimmers. Evidently some got the message and innovated nose clamps. Strange. Some anecdotal testimony states cold frequency drops drastically by the practice (rinsing, not clamping). It would be interesting should a study were ever done.
