  1. Whether or not the guidelines are strictly scientific or biased in favor of "official" recommendations which in turn favor pharma sales is patently obvious to any level headed person. For example, including a proviso saying it is "not safe" has no scientific basis. So what basis is there? They will fall back on the same old tired rubric used against "non-standard" treatments of cancer: resorting to even nontoxic therapies would delay approved, "actual"?, therapies. In the case of COVID-19, I suppose they DO recommend such a spectacular failure as remdesivir, or the disastrous hospital practices that actually caused more fatalities than lives saved? No responsible physician would follow the standard protocols where they impinge upon empirically proven helps so as to prevent application of off label uses or using ignored factors so long as they can improve and not worsen an outcome. Obviously. Yet extreme measures to rein in all that would color outside the lines has nothing to do with scientific methods or true safety. It is whoring for big pharma at people's expense, even going so far as using the population as a test study! None of the data of which is freely shared. This medical police state must end.
