  1. Interesting to note the oldest color words. Is it a record of the evolution of color vision, of the eye or of the brain? There's some kind of controversy over blue, being among the most recent. It would make sense if mankind's earliest observation of the sky were a haze, due to a thick canopy that eventually cleared away.
