  1. I wish journalists would drop that politically motivated trope of "going forward". If one says "expected", by context we already know a future tense point of view has been geared in the following phrases. "Going forward" is a form of distraction pols use to get us away from critical contexts relating to their own poor past actions or inaction. It is a phrase as trite as "boots on the ground" and "blood and treasure" were to mask direct cognisance they were dealing with lives, living people sent towards death and masking the profit motives both pols and businessmen realize via war. Just stop it!
