@Annagramma-u7x : The issue came up in the first place because one study indicated that operations performed without masks showed LESS post op infections. Your attempted analogy to equate this issue and safety belt use is apples to oxcarts.

@Annagramma-u7x : Doctors and Surgeons have died too, who are experts at wearing masks. The article I cited refers to a study done with thousands of operations performed both with and without surgical masks. And noted a smaller incidence of post-op infections among the maskless. Presumably the point the newer article had against this was lack of methodology for determining where the infection originated. So neglecting that, the mask wearing was a matter of little importance for outcome. The point of that whole train of observations is that of Fauci in the first place, physical distance, hand washing, not touching mucous membranes, eyes, nose lining, mouth, etc. was most important defensive strategy. The economy is trashed by lockdown. Harvard and other university level doctors, experts criticize the entire strategy. Beside the fact it is draconian, it isnt science. Not going to argue with anyone who shows they are entrenched in their opinion and wont broaden the scope of their research on this. It is pointless.
