If you are chased out of your home by squatters, it is still your home. If the original squatters then leave or sell the home, then others move in, are the new occupants abetting the first crime? Only if they knowingly take ownership, aware the purchase is from usurpers. Israel claims this is what happened. But that is not supported. Long abandoned and fallow land was taken up by regional folk. Were they part of a national agenda by Syria, Jordan or Egypt pre-Israel, to establish by use immanent domain? What is the support for that assertion?
I dont know. I dont like anyone feeling something rightfully theirs has been taken. Personal loss, not national tradition or prophetic assertion. But heritable lineage, that kind of connection, so as to say, "That spot right there belonged by all rights into perpetuity to my great, great, great, great grandfather, my great, great . . " etc. IOW, they didn't sell it, it was not a lien taking, it was stolen.
Not "That was given to Abram!" "That belongs to Jews". That doesnt pass muster.
I want there be peace and quiet there. Israel has been naughty, influenced by nasty souls. People have been cruel to people there. Both to Israelis and others.
Roots is a good move.
