He got caught up applying "terrorist" to rioters, protesters damaging property, burning flags, tearing down statues, some of whom were blm, antifa, etc. And he had to paint the DC1/6ers with the same brush. I think the bigger mistake was not dismissing Tucker Carlson's protestations as nit picking. What those agitators among the crowd who stormed and encouraged others to storm the Capitol building did terrorize those inside. Apologizing about it was his mistake.
