The only way the Russian state could absolve themselves of suspicion was to arrest and imprison the obvious culprits. They did not, rather permitted one into high office. Hence their culpability remains and denial is ludicrous on the face of it.

@CaliforniaGirl-qk5kq : Principles. Maybe a bit of a martyr complex as they say. Then again, who would help him? There was no "witness protection" programme. Hiding from the FSB without help from British intelligence no doubt is no easy task. He stood up against a huge apparatus and knew the risks. Brave.
