  1. Are you actually promoting silencing of opinion? Or are you saying CBC usually doesn't allow comments, why allow them here? Either way, first, several CBC releases on the Wet'suwet'en protests have open comments. I hate it when comments are turned off on ANY yt video. I won't watch such.

  2. Well, again, your original phrasing naturally leads the reader to conclude, evidently mistakenly, you believe they SHOULD BE TURNED OFF. Is English a second language Sun Sun? I'm not being sarcastically critical here, but you seem to miss the potential ambiguity of your statement "Comments should be turned off."

I know you are an advocate for open comment sections, because you said so. For irony, one has to provide a certain degree of obviousness. In your sentence crafting, it wasn't. 😬😉😀
