The Stick
It's crazy to see for sure how someone will adapt this or that. This 'stick' mount did remind me of the Merc Marquis '02 model I had back a year or two ago. The heater/defrost was inoperable when I purchased it, used of course. So I had a shop do the dirty task of getting to the repair of the blend door, no easy nor inexpensive job to say the least.
When I went to pay the invoice the guy that did the job had left the part he removed for me to inspect.
Crazy as it seemed then, somewhere along the way someone had decided that being the blend door wouldn't close when not warranted that a stick [ piece/block ] of wood would be just what was conviently at hand as a workable solution in shutting off the flow of heat, permantly. In Arizona not an issue 'cept in winter mornings.
What is ironic is where that make shift block of wood had to be placed, how in heaven's name that was done, I can't fathom. Chris I'm sure you are likely aware of where this blend door is located up under the dashboard and why not order the part if you've gone that far to DIY this job, quite the mystery.
It's possible the job of rigging the blend door with that block of wood, which was glued in place, could be managed without removing the dash. If I recall correctly, the job performed correctly did require removing the dash, at least the invoice seemed to tell me that when I left a chunk of my week's wage with the cashier.
At 63 years of age, retired with a part time 'C' store job and not in the best of physical condition, I had little serious thought of trying to DI'Myself.

:face-turquoise-covering-eyes:Oops! Yeah, I feel ya there Chris, Save the camera! :face-fuchsia-wide-eyes:
I've released my wee 6' x 10' cargo trailer forgetting to chock the wheels and then, roll baby roll, Oh F**K! And bc I've trailered that wee trailer so infrequently in the two plus years I've owned it,
I've let it roll decoupled from my,
'03 SR5 Access Cab Tundra :face-red-heart-shape: iForce V8 (love this truck don't you know)
and due to my inexperience or obvious stupidity, probably on three occasions. :face-blue-wide-eyes: :text-green-game-over:
Each time could have been worse had luck not been on my side.
Yeah, that one neighbor that peeked over the fence when Jen was refurbing the boat's engine cover no doubt will be celebrating with a magnum of bubbly.
Any ideas on a ceremony? Hey, I can ask, you don't have to answer.
If you two can sing on camera like you did, there's harmony in matrimony too. :body-blue-raised-arms::hand-orange-covering-eyes::washhands::trophy-yellow-smiling:

Such a difficult place for a young teen to be in somewhat due to (?) I can't be sure.
Growing up in a home in the 1960's as I came into puberty it was around the year 1970 by then I certainly realized I had a secret that I had to keep to myself.
With no one to help me with understanding that it was not wrong ...WRONG! This is how one feels when stigma is attached to your sexual orientation by ALL the known people in your world.
There is a mental self-loathing at times, this in my case was partially defeated by striking out at parents that I knew wanted each of their three sons of which I was the youngest, to make good marks in school. To strike back at what I felt was and maybe others perceive as a no option for any happiness and acceptance from what otherwise was a loving relationship at home, I began to not give my all to my lessons in class though the rest of my middle and secondary public-school years.
If I could not receive what I needed from my parents, in turn I would not give my parents what they were expecting from me.
This was an immature response of course, but that is because I was immature. As I came to that age wherein biological development is happening, I knew nothing, and nary did my loving father ever have a conversation with me about what was euphemistically called, "The Facts of Life." I only had a cursory knowledge of such things and as many here also made this journey on their own, sometimes the reality is not always comfortable and or easy to take in with the joy of discovery that should be associated with this period in one's young life.
My reason for writing this and posting this is certainly because of the story herein this post. To take such a turn here in this case where one is completely so distraught to end his life there and now, this was a tragedy of parental neglect done maybe not in this case, I don't know the full story. How can I, I wasn't there?
But for this youth, what came to be, due to the lowest of humanity willing to prey on a child as occurred in this story, and apparently hundreds more, it's just a case of parents not being upfront with your offspring.
It is imperative to speak openly about sexual orientation to a child, to reassure them of your acceptance of their manner in which their innate orientation evolves so there is no stigma, no fear, no embarrassment of who they become sexually attracted to. It is just how things worked out from a chance in the roll of the dice upon conception.
That for this young man he was unaware if he had gone to someone who would have protected him, made it clear there was going to be a way to go forward with compassion and understanding, empathy and end his immediate torment endured due to the fear of being chastised, maybe harangued and even humiliated in front of those whom he loved.
Just maybe, to be open to your child early on, then maybe we'll find that children everywhere can develop a normal, to them, a life full of promise all humans need in a future of love from another in that soulful and intimate manner, just as it is meant to be.

Any person that is like myself, selling to the public essential goods, food and water simply said, is also selling to the consumer a variety of absurd gadgets maunufactured from the planet's non renewable resources. These gadgets and fluff, these non essential products have taken long voyages across the planet's oceans before they end up in smart and attractive packaging then are found to be for sale in a convenience store or mega department store, everywhere. Our
gluttony as consumers of such garbage, that's what it all becomes all too soon, has been perpetuated by unscrupulous Mega Business Concerns that give generously to the 'Madison Avenue' hucksters that will sell to the consumer through psychological manipulative means.
Means to an end that will ensure that their client's assets do continue to escalate in the other well manipulated market, known to be located on, Wall Street.
This lifestyle of the rich and famous truly allow for, as Robin Leach quipped, "Champagne wishes and caviar dreams" all on Our One Planet, on our dime, our backs which is shared by the billions that are (S.O.L.) my reader herein.
In the final act of this true life drama only a tiny, even let me say, miniscule population of 'Fat Cats' are smiling and living large sailing on the likes of "YS7512" the 246' mega yacht for J. Bezos and a potential crew of 45 that will be 'sweating bullets' at every turn of the propulsion screws which is one 'Prime' example of a notable person with a very large Carbon Footprint.
Such wealth that begets wealth is the ugly side of Free Markets and Capitalism. The mindset of the few that always want more, and can never have enough, will continue to rape and pillage the earth of it's resources, including the human resource they need to keep the cycle of their wealth ongoing in perpetuity.

Geez...
Mr. President Trump, you don't need to, you should stop this, braggadocios spiel every time you get a microphone. " I did 'this...' and "We did 'this thing' and not any other person would have or even tried to have done it..."
We Got IT!
Mr. President, are you are in need of adulation, 24/7?
Please, Mr. Donald J. Trump you are your own best spokesperson, this you do better than anyone maybe except the late great, Muhammad Ali... but just chill on this self-promotion schtick, it's unbecoming of you and just isn't necessary.
Mr. Donald Trump, #45, if I may say this candidly, 'you could just wake up, shower and dress, put on one of your own fabulous red silk beautiful ties any day or night and be leagues ahead of #46' Full Stop!

:yt:Hello peeps and Colion Noir,
I kept a (in chamber, loaded) 9mm at my side while working nights at a 'C' store in Arizona for several years. This store was dangerously situated beside an Interstate to and fro southern California and not far from Vegas.
At the time I also was a member of USCCA and just having the relief of the team of 2nd Amendment attorneys available was reassuring. There was perceived relief, thank God never tested, that if ever anything put my liberty in jeopardy, I would be able to afford legal representation, 24/7...
That is if I ever fired my weapon while anywhere, not just at work, BTW Arizona is an open carry and or carry conceal state for adults 21 and over since 2010. This is such a comfort to us law abiding citizens just knowing how many peeps are around that will be packing and are proficient in handling a firearm. You see them everywhere except at state and federal government spaces, (go figure?).
Now that I have suffered a stroke I feel uncomfortable handling my 9mm semi-automatic. My agility and strength is compromised too much to operate the slide mechanisim. I still have a .22 revolver which with my weakened grip still makes its use unpredictable; although with my two hands together I can grip the Bounty Hunter ...I pray to God I may never be in need of using any firearm.
But as we look around the world just seems more unpredictable than ever in recent memory.
With my impairment from the stroke I also can no longer work, thus my discretionary outlay for goods and services has been a struggle. This led me to a painful decision to drop my USCCA membership even with the Veteran's discount I felt compelled to stop the $26.00 monthly payment to keep my membership. This was a few months ago but after watching Colion's videos I am going to make evry effort to get my membership reactivated.
Thanks Colion for your great stories and good common sense reasoning which you share. Your advice is sound and your videos passionately delivered all in the best interest of your fellow citizen.
Well written, spoken and produced. :trophy-yellow-smiling::trophy-yellow-smiling::trophy-yellow-smiling::trophy-yellow-smiling::trophy-yellow-smiling: [5 out of 5] :trophy-yellow-smiling: for Positive Messaging.
p.s. The phone conversations I had with the rep at USCCA when I discussed my situation has to have been the most compassionate and empithetic of any agent I have had to talk with since my stroke.

I opened a FB acct. long ago to see if I might locate peeps from bygone days. When that didn't pan out favorably in short order, I didn't return to my acct. for several years. (or so it seemed like years) I wanted to close/terminate my FB acct. on principal the other day but it took me awhile to find within my settings the path to terminate my aact. but then not remembering my password I got nowhere in my quest due to my frustration of the steps that kept unfolding in which I needed to take to finalize my exit permanetly from my one and only FB acct....
Ultimately I wish all whom disagree with Zucker-Bigot would terminate their accounts/pages on FB. Sadly the platform can take the hit with only a mild hic-cup in monetary income but then we'd be left out in the cold not being able to see what the opposition, leftist bigotry and extremeism is up to.
And Twitter is now a huge misrepresentation in what is our freedom of the word, the 'Word' they disagree with... as that J'Dorky' guy is a total nut job in my view of life lived longer than his by a factor at least of two (2).
Oh and BTW...
This idea that letting young developing minds escape into a cannibus fog that once it lifts brings the mind back to a world lost to the escapee; so indeed they return to the fog of dilusion as often as possible until their minds are so totally fried and reality sucks so much that suicide seems the way out....
People need to revisit how mind altering agents including Twitter and FaceBook are dispensed. Truth be told the path to make this agent THC less than criminal in society thru legalization is not refined in a manner that protects young developing minds. Will decent paying high level skilled, safety sensitive employment be obtainable to the young citizen? NOT! So they get stuck in low wage or 'Coding' for 'Big Tech' into brain-numbing stagnant work.
Even the language in these propositions is mind booggleing in of itself in an apparent attempt to be thoughtful but in reality arduous in its length, the language needed to protect developing minds (gray cells) is missing. And for all that extensive legal-ease language in the prop there stands obvious the reason that I bet those whom voted 'YES' on prop 207 here in AZ didn't thoroughly read the entire proposition. Nor likely did they care to. Arizonians, did you read prop. 207 fully?
Well know this as truth, standing before you is the "Man" and he is out to get your soul, mind and body through your complacent drug induced fog. Your choice, if you want not to be camped out in the street, cold and possessionless, sans title to any real estate, and so then you become a dreg upon your communal lot. Do please then rethink your path, NOW!
Honestly the potency of THC is off the charts with this "recreational" substance and that makes it so very harmful to our young citizens.
Sadly money is talking louder than common sense.

Where to start?:yt:
This video had Everything! :planet-orange-purple-ring::planet-orange-purple-ring::planet-orange-purple-ring::planet-orange-purple-ring::planet-orange-purple-ring: Another five out of 5 [:planet-orange-purple-ring:'s] for compelling content and so much more
OMG, edge of your seat last act of a $400 UTall Tale to put on NNKH; Dude if you hadn't put it on record how would you ever explain what You went through on this crazy night?
DANGER at every turn.
You are such a thrill seeker, but this was not what You signed up for... that dude needed to thank You for your service.
(the offer of a brew at the end was his way, but so much better to just bid him well and head home)
I can say I never was quite so physically fit and a bit out of my element when it came to sports and mechanical stuff. I think I enjoy your content bc you are everything I would have wanted to be at your time of life.
Admittedly I did get myself into some sketchy predicuments. Including during my career as a tour bus operator.
I drove tour coaches in San Fran before I had enough of professional driving* I managed to get a few buses stuck, three I recall famously, in precarious places.
Now 65 and still alive; all I can say is you had a lucky charm on high that night which got you home safe, as did mine each time.
*I drove tour coaches for the last twenty some years of driving for a pay check, but also a sundry of other vehicles of which some were sans passengers. Retired the CDL in 2014
Edit p.s. @29:05 Sage words. Chris, there was so much in this vid, I forgot to touch on this mindful thought so articulate and truthful. BTW have you heard, the Golden Gate Bridge is finally getting 'The Prevention Barrier' that most everyone never wanted?
Except of course the surviving family and friends of those that left their life via the gate to H-E- double hockey sticks below.
Peace Out Bro, and give Jen a big hug and smooch for all the boys out here that are still looking for their best friend and mate.:hand-purple-blue-peace:

Why again does the interviewer (Varney) expect a clear answer to what would 'WE' the USA do or what would #45 direct the State Department and DoD to be ready to deliver to an aggressor?
Just think back to #45's previous replies to this absurd line of questioning.
News Commentator, "So what will you, President Trump do if (fill in the blank) and can you spell out how you are going to stop what is a clear and present danger to the United States?"
President Trump, "There is many things that are available that can stop this aggression, I won't give anything away here, but Putin and I have a good relationship."
#45 continues, "...there will be serious ramifications, we have the intelligence, the capability and the strongest military and Putin is aware from our personal conversations of the resolve here in Washington. ...this country will stand for Freedom and defend that Freedom with the full force of maybe starting with sanctions, which we have already started to the full force of the best trained, most dedicated soldiers and a most capable might of the men and women that serve in military and intelligence services, which you know I have been rebuilding and expect to add to the DoD budget even more in the upcoming fiscal year's budget!"
DONE & DUSTED, FULL STOP!

Okay here's how I understand anyone that refers to others as RACIST.
The saying goes like this: "It takes one to know one."
And if we understand that platitude to be commonly known as a logical theorem; this is why the real RACIST is those whom would believe they are such upstanding decent folk and admittedly they themselves harbor discriminate thoughts about people unlike their goodselves then in their pea brain it must equate to all people like themselves, being RACIST.
Do you see the logic in the idea that it takes one to know one?
It can't be just that they, the real racist individuals, are uniquely a walking, talking bigot, throwing shade and spewing nonsense, or can it?
It must be true, so they believe, that if they can see in themselves racist feelings about others unlike themselves, then natuarlly their perception of others holds true.
This is a weak and unfounded belief that some very bad people perpetuate and in doing so they're making the real RACIST feel better about their own sinister thoughts as they scream RACISIM from the rooftops. Scream it loud and be sure a select group of nefarious leaders in our government hear the call of RACISM. Oh yeah, that will solve the problem. NOT!
Lame-Stream-Media picks up the baton and amplifies the falsehood until it seems to be an undeniable reality.
Of course all this shaming and name calling isn't being done to make people better at being decent, loving denizens of a 'all for one and one for all' Constitutional Republic operating Democratically. Just look at the state of the union today.
How does any of this destruction of our harmonious neighborhoods, cities and states through self hatred and bashing of one another make our country a better place to live and foster a be all that you can be along side a sister or brother from another mother?
IT DOESN'T!

I hate to tell you that I bit the bullet, paid the dealer's price at their service department, on an OEM part for what had been a constant failure with a particular after market part.
Well in just over a year the part failed. Now outside of a one year manufacture warranty for defects, even though this was all done at a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Salantis local and once reputable dealer (there's an oxymoron) I'm screwed.
So in this case the OEM part is as cheap as the Auto Zone/Car Quest/O'Reilly's/Evil Bay & the Jungle Web Site part.
OEM part from the dealer cost $160.00, and the labor at the dealer's service shop cost $200.00.
If you've read this far I have to share which model and year Chrysler at 105K on the clock I have been going to this much time to write about. In every other way besides this one annoying part failing, of which there are three on board, this car has served my needs well.
It's the 2013, 4 cylinder VVT, Chrysler 200 which has had a tough life, starting in a rental fleet in California.
The part, you guessed it is made in Mexico and no where else. Yes, I'm talking blend door actuators.
Poor design and just cheap plastic materials.
So nik, don't break a sweat "thinking" too much about part quality, it's a crap shoot either way.

MGUY makes the point how top auto makers jumped onto the 'Everyone's Doing It' (EDI) movement, so we had better follow suit business model and lame mentality.
Ironically, 'MGUY' vomits nonsensical EDI directives as he spouts incessantly the same gratuitous line to elicit subs, likes and platform follows.
Hate on me for saying so, to point out how MGUY rails on with rightous criticism about 'Sheeple Mentality' yet he is one of a thousand same lame influencer/producer self important types much of the same ilk
These YT, FB and IG peeps have swallowed the 'Pill' that has made them addicted to Likes, Subs and Follows wherein they have lost their collective minds.
So mindless are they IMO that they go on believing that we the audience are as brainless as they are themselves.
Anyone today, and I mean anyone as well as EVERYONE who is using eMedia platforms obviously didn't just crawl out from under a rock.
No matter, as these desperate content producers can't find enough individual confidence to upload their self realizing concerns, activities, dramas and or opinions sans the, '...and if you want more, yada-yada-yada grovel-grovel...' personally I become less induced to do any of the suggested actions.

Gutsy, not in the manner this mom had her young children in tow at the time of her decision to step up to this monstrous group.
But when is it the right time? Her ability to discharge her babies in that moment was apparently nil.
Look at the thousands of moms in Afganistan exposed to beatings and worse from a intolerant monstrous faction.
The government locally and beyond has lost it's priveledge to govern, which is to say;
(1) Set policies that we must obey which are arbitrary
(2) Impose any restrictions on the citizens that are contrary to our Constitution and Bill of Rights
(3) Award themselves pay raises
Also those elected policy wonks need to stop talking about this country being fraught with millions whom are racist because why? I'll tell you why?
Because in their troubled lives, the discrimante racist doth recognize their deep seated feelings of superiority. These old cancerous white politicians have feelings of yester-year superiority so why don't they get cancelled?
Their past and current stance is that they are better than you or I will ever be by some birth right, and if you think otherwise, look again.
The elite priveledge is theirs because they beat the People down.
You can imagine when they stand before us they privately and not so quietly are saying, 'Look down there at you all scrambling to be happy and free.' Along with their handouts thay say, 'Eat cake and go away to languish and die.'
Pelosi and her ilk: "Take a long adoring look at where I stand up here, just look at my fine self up here."
And so goes the childhood saying;
'It Takes one to know one' ...and so they being they are the racists born from years of priveledge, and feeling this deep seated superiority makes them knowingly hypocritically flawed.
Ergo, they imagine that us lowly peeps can't be any better than they in discriminatory feelings of birth right.... They can't believe that for some twenty to thirty years now in some parts of our melting pot here in America millions upon millions of us, the People have tossed and left behind the past practices of esteem in racial superiority. It is simple, good people, love "good people".
We care for our neighbors and enjoy our cultural differences in many cities urban and rural. There is a fondness of moms and their babies no matter the color, creed and the rest.
We are a people that invite the disinfranchised and give the shirts off our backs to lift another out of dispair.
We are so much better than we are being told to believe we are by the agitators!

Dear Desert Drifter :yt: I will say that had John Muir been outfitted with similar technology, well you get my drift. You remind me of my hero John Muir. For me, you and he are akin in many ways.
I read virtually everything written by John and if any here have yet to do so, I suggest you start with his book titled, 'My First Summer in the Sierra' but, as an option to this or along with, read one of the many biographical accounts of this legendary man.
The thing about not having the videography but innate in his being Scottish as part and parcel of John's assets when it came to how he always carried a diary to record his thoughts and drawings of what he saw each day that he took to the natural world.
He paints the picture of what he sees/saw in your own mind's eye when you read his books.
I moved from the S.F. Bay Area just as I was preparing to retire, said goodbye to Muir Woods National Monument the Golden Gate and over priced housing. Landing here in Arizona I became less of my former self due to what I shall not explain but fair to hint on my health, mental and physical conditions were declining for a bit shortly after my move to Mohave county.
This is vastly different from where I grew up in northern California but it, the desert, is a beautiful part of the country. Desrt Drifter's epilogs show this with aplomb. Many peeps that find him here, I'm sure are mesmerised by his views optical and thoughtfully spoken in the way he tells his story. What he sees and feels. No doubt I'm not the first to mention the kinship to, Nature's hero, John Muir.
I'll be leaving the SW after ten years idle here and taking up residence 'Off Grid' with family in Marion county Arkansas. I will come back to visit this beautiful desert again thanks to the Desert Drifter, so stay well and if you have the luck of a
Scottish immigrant you too may survive your sojourns at times dangerous to life and limb. It was amazing how much John put his body and soul through only to succumb to a broken heart that led to pneumonia. His passing on the day before Christmas in 1914 put him at 76 years of age but he stuffed hundreds or more into his three quarter century mortal span.
Best wishes and thanks Desert Drifter for caring whilst sharing your journey.:hand-pink-waving:

When Tucker talked about why people voted for Biden over Trump was due to how of the two choices, Biden gave a better option if you had tired of the uneasy feeling people had felt from four plus years of Trump Tweets. The electorate was so exhausted from it, they would vote for the opposite calm appearing safer more tempered candidate. There it is, this is how Biden got elected, in part. It was only part of the equation for why the electorate pretty much voted without concerns of the consequences of voting sans understanding that candidates disaterous ideology...
What comes to mind is this may be the time to try a third party run.
The Dems dug their own 'two term grave' in the Congress as well in the Oval Office.
Ergo, if a third party that came out as being the
"Rightside Constitutional Party" and with the majority of voters committed to NOT vote Democrat, no matter whom the DNC put there, we could have a battle souly between the 'Costitutional Right Party' and the "Do Nothing Right (RINO) Party" in 2024.
Is it then possible this would jump start a serious three party political arena that could give the electorate more 'meat on the bone' candidates in the game from which to choose or decline?
And just to be cheeky, if Sh!!ts and Giggles are out who would take the reins of the GOP and try to battle against, what Americans love,
"The New and Improved" Right Side Constitutional Party? And who would be the leader and maybe nominee of that party? Care to give your thoughts on the answer to that then REPLY below, just maybe?
Or could this be a Teddy Roosevelt blunder?

It's about time, yeah how 'bout tearing up an official gov't doc?
IN FRONT OF THE WORLD AUDIENCE!
Was Fancy Nancy even censurred for a spat of House sessions? NOT!
Edit:
@5:04 Please, law enforcement would you please, please lower the intensity of your blue, red & white enforcement patrol vehicles "Look at Me" light system.
Just saying as a senior with the eyes now less than reflexive as once decades ago they were and before a senior with early stage macular degeneration is blinded to the point that they lose their way, BAM CRASH right into your body or worse yet that tax payer gift you may think is a demonstratively expenseive play toy 'Light Saber'. Geez officers, once you have pulled the building over you probably don't need to get its attention any longer, it ain't going anywhere!
No doubt their are a couple of baby boomers in West Palm Beach trying to get through that street without crashing into that barrage of sillyness on display.
Technology gave us light, sorry not the natural light, I speak of artificial high intensity light systems for day time use, i.e. Traffic Signals, Advertisement Signage and your "Look Out" system of lights. BUT at night why can't technology or common sense go a step farther and have a microchip processing the intensity needed? FULL STOP before we run into your flesh we can't see.

Like you Tom, I have said this now for at least two years. I take the suit farther though. There are others that I'd add to the list of Defendents in such a suit. How about, Lame Stream Media, Big Tech, then there's the DNC.
My idea is for all State's Attorney Generals that want to honor the 'will' of their State's constituants, to organize a united class action suit.
The end result of which would be to garner a judgement of said 'elder abuse' against these defendents and get a judgement not only of guilty what amounts to a conspiracy, but to then penalize the guilty parties with fines. The monies from the fines are then to be paid to the State's coffers that put the case before the court of lawful justice for all.
Side Bar: Is there any doubt that the reason for all the cases that were brought by #45's team before the appropiate district courts of the swing States getting denied? It was pure fear! The wimp donkey's butt judges were afraid of orginized retaliation to any one of them that would stand in the way of this conpiratorial team of monsters. Their homes would be targets and also their families would be unmercifully attacked, I get it, but at the same time the future generations of their loins, will in this the land they today still enjoy due to prestige, shall suffer and apparently that's fine with these lame judges with jelly for a back bone. How do they sleep,
I hope with urine soaked bed linens.

In the latter months of 1976 I entered ATF school in Biloxi Mississippi as an E2 non com airman in the USAF.
My career path took a divergent unexpected turn just two years hence from what I had originally expected or certainly imagined.
...to keep a long story as short as possible, by my mid thirties I eventually had found myself seated for the next 25 years behind a ground based wheel, holding a CDL whilst I drove as a tour coach day tripper in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area, based out of San Francisco.
Admittedly, I was not one of the Million Mile Non Event operators.
I'll leave that story to the imagination to keep this short...
Mentour Pilot, I am hooked on your detailed vlogs. All the imagery in the scenes really has consistently improved in vlog time and in 'cybermatic' excellence, with no real equal in the medium of ones and zeros.
All your story telling is spoken with genuine most compelling voice and heart of a presenter that has more to give and does so at great time lost to your son, as all fathers have this heavy duty and weighty stewardship to balance for the time allowed by our breath that is not guaranteed in allotment of our choosing.
As an ATC radar E2 airman 'communication was everything. It is one of your three must do actions for success... I expect your son and yourself have much in common in the navigation of your flight plan that is shared.
Best regards to you both as your fledgling takes wing on his own flight path just know he will be a good man in his journey if he follows the Golden motto, 'Aviate, Navigate, Communicate.' 😊

idk THAT ANYONE, MM included, really cares about "what I think" but here goes ...
Nice plaid overshirt, I really adore the background scape and this presenter's voice is easy on the ears.
And I expect he does in person content bc he is imo easy on the eyes too, unlike The Liberal Hivemind presenter that I had od'd on long ago.
The material presented is all over this and every other platform, so for me, this was a "yawn".
Oh, and how about the annoying announcement which by contract these YT presenter's must have signed in order to become monetized that states, "...you agree to... there for you 'MUST' include the Like & Subscribe spiel.
Does anyone here not know what it means to these channels here when we do the 'thing'?
I'd say nary a handful are in the dark, just crawled out from under a rock or were born yesterday, and or even fell off the turnip truck and somehow found this channel on a device playing that was lying on the side of the dirt road where the ignoramus was left in a heap by the speeding turnip farmer.

Case in Point:
100K on the clock it's time to R & R the serpentine belt and two iders and a tensionor on my 2013 Chrysler 200 with the 2.4 VVT engine.
I had an independent mechanic that I felt I could trust to do proper maintenance on my cars due to our first interaction where I had been steered to this shop by a friend. The shop did me a solid by allowing me to make a partial payment and take the car out of the shop to get to work daily and settle the remainder of the bill a week later because I was there on the recommendation of one of his customers, my friend.
There after any work I needed I returned to have the work done by this mechanic.
In time, over the course of two years I spent hundreds of dollars of my hard earned money at this shop keeping two vehicles maintained there with satisfaction.
When it was near time to do preventitive R & R of the serpentine drive belt I also decided to have the idlers and tensionor done by this shop.
This shop owner was fine with having me supply the parts so I did through my O'Rielly's online account purchase said parts. Incredibly cheap, not OEM but a Gates belt was part of the package and likely for the limited use of this car all would have been fine except...
It all went south.
The idlers were inversed, as there is a difference between which one fits up top v down below on the block.
Again having not driven the car much the poor alignment of inversed idler pulleys did not affect the car's performance more than another problem that surfaced upon taking the car back after the service was performed.
Having another vehicle and issues of logistics I put the Chrysler on the back burner until months later I was moving away and needed to transport the car 1,300 miles on a car carrier. The belt by this time was not remaining on the pulleys upon start up the belt would begin to work itself off the idlers.
No time to deal with it the move was on schedule, it has to only run long enough to get on the trailer. A belt wasn't needed for this so again I put off dealing with the problem until my move was done.
Then I went ona DIY mission even at 66 years of age in poor health, I was determined to do the job myself. It looked simple enough on You Tube.
But not one of the content providers mentioined that there was a difference between the top v the bottom idler placement which was critical.
When I finally bit the bullet and purchased from the Chrysler Dealership the OEM parts, I happened to ask if there was a difference between the two idlers. Without really close inspection you'd not notice a slight difference as I found out, only because a light bulb maybe went off in my brain, IDK.
And folks this was the issue the entire time! When I returned the O'Rielly parts for a refund and explained that they were not what I needed, they refunded me the $80.00 some dollars. The OEM parts BTW cost near $250.00, and I explained to the O'Rielly's associate once the money had been returned that the serpentine belt from the dealer was also a Gates belt and likely the problem wasn't so muich an issue of these parts being incorrect for my purpose but instead there was another issue that no one, not O'Rielly's nor You Tube cared to explain.
I then said to the kind associate that I'd not be divulging the simple facts as for the fact it seemed to be a closely guarded secret...
I now had the key to the proper manner of installation and I also would keep the secret close to my chest, protected from the general public that frequented O'Reilly's. Wink, Wink and now my Chrysler 2013 4.2L four banger runs like a top.
Just steer clear of the later models and all the six cylider models.
This 2013 with what I believe is a 6 speed tranny is a good fit on this VVT 2.4L engine but the BLEND DOOR acuators are SHI#...Seriously!
