If there is a difference, it must be minimal in performance... if so, by how much? Everything the swimmer said was subjective and has no scientific bearing whatsoever. Where are the objective measurements?

@PP-3b2ox 3.4% is a lot. What do you mean by "body position"? Do you actually mean "shape"? That would make a difference.

@loonggak That makes no sense to me. Explain please.

@loonggak Still don't understand. How does taping on the back lift your legs up? Is it acting like a spring? i.e. "pulling" If so, that would also restrict movement downwards, which defeats the purpose.

@anthonyclarke5579 Kermit here... please point me to some scientific evidence. If these work, I'd like to know HOW. Shape affects aerodynamics/hydrodynamics. So compression makes some sense, but I find it hard to imagine a wetsuit turning my body into a more hydrodynamic shape. And when someone says, "it lifts you out of the water," I have to roll my eyes... unless there is some new scientific principle that I need to learn. Just because everyone is wearing the latest super hero costume doesn't give you super powers when you wear the latest cape.

@loonggak Why do you think I'm so doubtful? Do a search and you'll see what I mean...

@dahoo-needledrop Ad hominem? Childish. Cite a recent (in the last two years) trustyworthy study that provides conclusive evidence. I can't find one. BTW, my preference is the crawl. Yours? If wearing an expensive swimsuit makes you feel like you're going faster, enjoy, friend. Subjective effects work great for athletes.
