  3. Going to banks for small business loans is a huge barrier to starting a small business in EU. e.g. you must have a minimum amount in an account to start a limited company, ~20,000 euros minimum dep. on country.

  4. In the US, you can start a business for as little as $25 dep. on the state. Bureaucracy is also a breeze compared to EU. Taxes are low. Bankruptcy is easy if you get in over your head. But... you can still end up homeless living on the street because there is no social safety net.
