Reed's refusal to leave England in the 1970's despite crippling levels of income tax from the Government was brave & principled, but fixing that property up wiped him out financially, & then the money from acting dried up & he ended up losing all his money and ultimately forced into tax exile struggling to survive financially in the Channel Islands & Eire.
