IMMIGRATION REFERENDUM required
13
@cun7us Q: 'Should there be a moratorium on foreign immigration for settlement in the UK for 10 years, to be reviewed by a subsequent referendum. Yes/No?'

@cun7us It would be fully explained in the Ref. campaign by government information (or could be replaced with the word 'cessation'), work visas properly policed wouldn't be affected. 'It's such a complex issue (Me: it's not) that a referendum may not be adequate. (Me: It's the only option & would be adequate) The fact is, we need high-skilled workers (Me: Work visas, properly policed) but there are too many low-skilled workers that we need to put a cap on.' (Me: Work visas for them too, properly policed). The danger of foreign mass migration is ethnicity, 'skills' is a red-herring argument.

@cun7us The Ref. ?'s you suggest wouldn't stop population replacement, they would merely slow it down a bit but ultimately lead to the same destination. We need a radical solution to a radical situation, once the situation has been stabilized & we've had a chance to catch our breath from the foreign migrant avalanche we are currently being subjected to, a more temperate assessment can later be made (that's the function of the 10 year review in the Referendum's proposed question). The problem here isn't capacity to absorb population growth, it's the inherent dangers of the Melting Pot societal model. Why do you think properly policed work visas would be inadequate to address supply side labour shortages in the economy exactly?

French by ancestry apparently.
