  8.  ladyj7085  Yes, & it's not primarily coming from the media, it's coming from parliament which is codifying this stuff into law, which the media is then obliged to reflect in its terminology. A 15 year ls not a child/boy, it's a youth, who is more mature with more life experience than a child, & should be held more accountable for their actions in law. There's a Leftist infantilisation that's crept into this area of law, & - as intended - it's having dangerous societal consequences in criminal sentencing policies, & its terminology is a reflection of that. What appears trivial on the surface in the use of words, is more sinister beneath.
