@seanomaille8157 Cromwell didn't commit genocide in Ireland, he stopped the Paddies from doing it to the Ulster Scots. The Penal Laws was an argument between churches. The famine affected nations across Northern Europe with many starving, it wasn't caused by "the British". Ulster was a barren wilderness with barely anyone living there before the arrival of the Ulster Scots farmers, there was no "ethnic cleansing" by them, the Irish tried it (Portadown Massacre) & failed. If it wasn't for the British the Irish would be living in thatched huts still.
