@davidclark573 Well they don't call out Joe Bidens lies. They definitely didn't call out Obamas lies. They're very inconsistent with that.

I still don't believe we'll even see a trial. He's going to fight the subpoena. And that will probably go all the way to the Supreme Court. Can you try a private citizen in front of the senate will be the question.

@markanderson4163 Without Chief Justice Roberts the whole process will look illegitimate. Kamala Harris presiding over this will make it look like a kangaroo court. No way they get 17 Republicans to vote for conviction.

@Qingeaton Well there is precedent. William Belknap will be brought up. That's an interesting case. He was the secretary of war in the 1800s. He got caught receiving bribes and resigned from office. After he resigned they impeached him. He was acquitted in the senate not because he was innocent because the senate believed that the senate had no jurisdiction over a private citizen.

@markanderson4163 He's a private citizen now is the only thing that matters. The senate has no jurisdiction over a private citizen. In the constitution it clearly states that impeachment trial is to remove a SITTING president which he is not! Chief Justice Roberts is going to decline to participate in the trial because of this.
