It's an easy path to create nukes, though. What's happening in Iran? I think that's nuclear escalation.

@Megraptor Wrong. Nuclear energy in THIS part of the world is a bad idea. It's called escalation. And as soon as Australia builds a plant, Indonesia will crank production, then Malaysia will, and so on.

@Megraptor First, I didn't mention reactors, dummy. Second, why are you on this video if you're not Aussie? Do you just search the key word "nuclear" on YouTube, then go argue your opinions?

@Megraptor And I already mentioned why we don't like nuclear escalation. We have the world's largest Muslim nation next door, and it's becoming increasingly unstable, violent, repressive and anti-democratic.

@Megraptor Do I have any evidence? Yeah sure, read about Australia's plans to become a nuclear power in the 60's. We purchased F-111's with the ability to drop nukes on Jakarta, as well as our first reactor in Lucas Heights, with eventual plans to build enough energy to increase our nation to 100 million population.

Want to point out that I'm getting SO many replies saying "no reactor was ever going to be built in Australia", or "Australia was never going to bomb Indonesia"... Then before I can reply, you pro-nuke guys all deleting your comments. Lol

@Mittau >Western reactors And after Australia builds one, who will monitor Indonesia's escalation of nuclear power? There's something about the world's largest Islamic nation, slowly turning towards extremism, that's kind of unsettling. Pakistan isn't nearly as large as Indonesia, and look at the path that nation's on.
