@odinlindeberg4624 exactly. A shame Matsimus didn't talk about the logic here. Where would Marine tanks safely deploy anyway? To the north is Russia and North Korea, to the south is Vietnam... I can't see any of these nations accepting ship loads of tanks, tbh.

Tanks will be useless at war in the Western Pacific. Sorry, but you'll have a lot of trouble landing tanks in any war against China - hence the move towards more mobile forces.

@stephenallen4635 if they know more than me, but those at the very top know even 'more' than the grunts, then I know who's opinion I trust more.

@sgoell75 I'm not saying tanks are obsolete. They're just not going to be used in the first weeks of combat against China. By the time they're needed, the he army will be ready to fill the heavy armoured role. Marines should be the tip of the spear, and that's what's these procurement changes are about.

@sgoell75 ... Also, Matsimus forget to mention that the Marines will receive new equipment to replace the tanks, such as cruise missiles, anti-ship weapons and long range rockets - weapons which are much easier to hop from island to island.
