  1. Well technically soldiers still use bladed weapons... Of course a ship that launches aircraft will still be around, but their current role will become obsolete.

  2. Did you pay attention to the end? When aircraft carriers have to sail so far back that they're basically around Hawaii, then they're useless, as you can just launch aircraft from land.
