  1. It's so strange that Argentina is in this poor state. During the 70's they were producing military equipment better than some European states, and had a fricken aircraft carrier. Maybe the mistake was Falklands? Idk why the nation has become so weak...

  2. Chile is more like the Australia of South America. Mostly desert, but very resource rich. And unlike other nations, they haven't let that wealth lead to corruption.

  3.  @varimatra2088  a high tech military is a side effect of a good economy. The fact that Argentina's military is weak, just represents the poor domestic economy... They go hand in hand.

  6.  @Ignacio.Romero  now you're just being silly. Chile is not like France, where basically every square inches is inhabited with a farm. Of course you can have a city in a desert, but you can't do much else with that type of land.
