@Zero One Zero sorry, but the ANZUS alliance is seriously questioned within Australian military circles, as to whether America would meet it's obligation. Before Australia intervened in Indonesia, during the East Timor crisis, it was assumed America would assist Australia - they did not.

@Zero One Zero we are heading that way though. I think it's more likely to come from Indonesia, than China. And I think Aussies need to realise that, so we make better decisions about defense.

It's not impossible, in fact all China would have to do is improve relations with Indonesia 5 years before the invasion, and then would have an ally.
